The challenge
Like every tall building in Mumbai, the project needed a fire-fighting system that would actually perform under pressure and satisfy the fire department at inspection. The common risks we see are undersized pipelines, pumps that cannot hold the required pressure, and systems that fail commissioning — any of which delays the occupancy certificate and Fire NOC.
What we delivered
We handled the complete hydrant and sprinkler lifecycle so the developer had a single accountable partner:
- Hydraulic design — system and pump sizing based on building height and risk category.
- Supply of components — hydrant valves, hoses, hose boxes, couplings, pipes and fittings.
- Pump room setup — main, standby and jockey pumps with controls and pressurisation.
- Pipeline installation — internal and external hydrant network with correct routing.
- Sprinkler system — automatic suppression for the applicable floors and areas.
- Testing & commissioning — pressure, flow and functional testing before handover.
- Fire NOC support — documentation and support for fire-department approval.
How we worked
Our process kept the developer informed at every stage: a free site survey, a clear hydraulic design and quotation, quality-tested supply, installation of the pipeline and pump room, commissioning with documentation, and ongoing AMC to keep the system inspection-ready year after year.
The outcome
The building received a fully tested, standards-compliant fire hydrant and sprinkler system, commissioned and documented for its Fire NOC — and an ongoing maintenance relationship so it stays compliant every year.
