Fire-rated duct access doors built in our own Mumbai workshop — steel construction, BIS 3614 / BS 476 rated up to 120 minutes, in standard and custom sizes. With 300+ doors already installed, we supply and fit them for societies, factories, hospitals, hotels and commercial buildings across Mumbai.
A fire duct door — also called a fire-rated duct access door or access panel — is a steel door fitted into HVAC ductwork, smoke-extraction ducts, pressurisation shafts and service shafts. It gives technicians safe, convenient access to fire dampers, filters, coils and fans for inspection, cleaning and repair, while providing a secure, fire-resistant seal when closed so the duct keeps its fire integrity during a fire.
Because these doors sit on the fire-protected duct network, they must themselves be fire-rated. A correctly made and installed fire duct door is a small but essential part of a compliant building's passive fire protection.
